Learning to drive is a life skill that if you done properly may one day just save your life. Choosing an instructor should never be about price alone.

The DVSA suggest that “on average” it takes 47 hours of professional instruction with an additional 20 hours of private practice to be ready for life on todays roads and thus be able to pass your driving test

With Aberdrive our average is considerably less and with our incredibly high FIRST TIME pass rate new learners could save £££’s choosing to learn to drive with us.

All lessons are the same price and all pupils receive the same first class quality of teaching.

Standard rate £40 per hour and all weekday lessons given by Aberdrive are two hours in duration meaning you pass much quicker.

These lessons provide a perfect balance of learning time followed by practice and reflection and therefore lead to more complete driving skills being developed.

Saturday Lessons are available and last 90 mins and cost £80 each.


Sunday Lessons are also available but are priced at double the normal hourly rate

A £80 deposit is required at the time of booking lessons. This deposit is held on account throughout your time with Aberdrive and used in the unlikely event of a late cancellation. Your first lesson fee should be paid no later than the evening before your lesson and thereafter until such time of your test. Assuming the deposit is not used before hand the deposit is then used on the day of your test.

We also offer courses to help you pass your test even faster! If you have a test booking already this may be for you.

Semi-Intensive (Train in 6 Weeks)

40 hours of tuition provided over a period of 6 weeks. Perfect if you need to pass quickly but can’t commit to lessons every day or don't think you could concentrate for a full intensive course.

​Intensive (Train in a Week)

The same 40 hours as a semi intensive course but done over a 6 day period. It's called intensive for a reason so only choose this option if you are ready to commit. Perfect if you need to pass your test quickly.

Note - Semi and intensive test bookings can only be made if you have already passed your theory test and have a test booking made. A 50% non-refundable deposit requires to be paid at the time of booking with the balance payable 4 weeks from the first lesson date.
